Shells

I am not really a collector for the sake of acquisition, and to be honest there is nothing from nature which does not look best alive, rather than mounted, stuffed, turned into jewellery or kept in a cabinet. However, I have painted from collections in order to have reference examples for use in other paintings. I  include a digital drawing of a Volute shell to show just how precise even a digital drawing can be.
